Vita

I have been modeling animals out of clay for as long as I can remember, without ever thinking about the reason why. It has simply been at the center of my interest. However, my professional development initially took a completely different path: after training as a tailor, I studied geography and then worked as a landscape planner for six years. The lack of expressive opportunities in my profession, along with the longing to make a living by working with my hands, prompted me to make a radical change in my professional life when I had the chance. As a self-taught artist, I founded my workshop in my own barn in 2003, primarily creating stoneware pottery. Animal sculptures were initially just a side project. Ultimately, it was my customers, my colleagues, and my life partner who encouraged me to focus all my strength and energy on sculpture and to leave the safe ground of a well-selling pottery series for the second time, in order to dedicate myself to something that moves me deeply. Since then, everything has been easy; I feel absolutely authentic in my work now. As I enjoy traveling, my exhibitions often take place abroad in Europe, with a particular focus on France, where I find myself near my sources of inspiration: the fantastic cave paintings of the Chauvet Cave, the Lascaux Cave, and many other impressive works of prehistoric artists.
